The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
Anyone else wait for hours in this ticket office queue?

Buy Adult tickets online cheap for a tenner + £2 booking fee per ticket, so £12 then or just pay £15 at the ticket office at the ground.

Then make all the mugs queue up in the same queue whether tickets booked online or not for 2 hours and miss the first half.

I have heard many on here whinging about the owners treating the fans with contempt. Tonight was shocking, although it is amazing the amount of people who just bend over and take it, without a whimper. The attendance showed how well we are supported, although it would have been much higher if the thousands in the queues had got in and filled the empty seats. Thousands of these must have given up and gone home.

Then same old shit walking miles to queue up at UP station on the way back, just carried on walking to Plaistow, may as well closed UP Station down, how many years to sort it, they don't give a toss.

They better do it right at the OS otherwise they will come unstuck.

Starting to think Birmingham fans where right about the owners who are cheap skates who spend as little as possible on players, cashing in on the ground to clear all their debts and not even claret and blue seats at the OS.

Disgusting! West Ham fans deserve better than these two bob merchants!

OTB

having a piece of paper that i could have printed out 10 times isnt really proof, no

But surely having the actual email on my phone, that clearly shows said ticket was bought with my patron number, which is on
My season ticket, which was in my hand should be proof enough?
It was a £5 ticket ffs.
It really wouldnt be worth anyones time stealing emails and season tickets to get a 10 yr old into the poxy game...

And why cant they link an extra ticket to my card?they can fit 19 games on it?
Theyre quick enough to block it if you misbehave as well

Cant be that hard, surely?

I would imagine the travelling time of away fans would be taken into consideration when adjusting any KO time in the evening, especially for a game that could (and obviously did) go to extra time and penalties. Last train back for them about 10:30 I think.

Forgetting what a fucking shambles the ticket office is why the fuck didn't they delay the KO apart from the fact they don't give a fuck about the paying public

Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
You seem to be under the mistaking belief that I'm demanding they do it, OtB.

And what's all this about volumes, air travel has far more throughput than WHU once every two weeks so again I have no idea what you're talking about.

If you're saying the volumes might be too low to bother then I'd be inclined to agree, but whether you're testing for 30 or 300k you still need to do "all sorts of testing" as you put it.

I'd suggest as this is clearly a subject you cannot comprehend that it is you who is knicker wetting all whilst trying to defend your beloved ticket office.

Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
I would suggest there is considerable savings to be made here with printed barcoded tickets and phone app, assuming you do away with the ticket office, additional stewards to control the longer queues, which will no longer be required.

What does the ticket office actually do anyway? Oh apart from print tickets?

As said, other clubs already have this system, then again these are well run clubs we are talking about.

So you left the Stanley at 7.30 and you're wondering why you missed KO?

Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
If other clubs do it then realy cant see why we dont.
Not sure can be compared to flights as you would def need to have it checked at some point before boarding.
But ive printed out shit loads of concert and theatre tkts and never once had a problem.
No doubt us not doing it involves cost but fuck knows where.
Was awful tues night left the stanley at 7 30 didnt get to my seat till 7 46 missing ko

It’s different because of the volumes involved. Obvious to anyone not a scweaming knicker-wetter.

Of course they can do it. Of course they should have done it. But given that queues like that happen once in a blue moon, I’d say (and this is my opinion, I haven’t asked) it’s a fairly low priority. And if they didn’t test it thoroughly, I wonder who would be among the first to come whining on here?

There would still have been massive queues the other night even with printed tickets. And in comparison to you, I AM always right.

Haha. That's what the club get for doing their market research by monitoring forums.

Don't confuse them, defjam, it's retard to quote air travel apparently and it'll take along time to test it all out as NO ONE has ever done it before.

This is all from the ticket office's very own battered housewife, OtB, so as you can imagine simply HAS to be believed as he's always right.

Ha ha, imagine that cunt trying to print a ticket.

He'd probably walk the whole printer down the ground and try and scan that!!

Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
So printing your own tickets for gigs, clubs, shows etc is ok but for football it's a no go because of security?

Also QR codes for airlines are ok?

I've had to print tickets and invites for pop up art shows that only last a few days, so they manage to scramble something together in a few days to let loads of people in without hassle.

Maybe there's a very good reason for not allowing people to print tickets at home, fuck knows what it is though.

Re: The queue from the ticket office went back past Kens Cafe?
It's not really a case of hindsight, there are queues every match, it's just that on this occasion the queue was much worse than normal. The issue here is that a lot of the people there on Tuesday were infrequent visitors by the looks of them, people you want to get on board and keep on board particularly with a move to a big stadium on the horizon. It would be naive to think that a lot of the people standing in that queue for over an hour the other day might not want to go through that experience again.

Maybe there's a very good reason for not allowing people to print tickets at home, fuck knows what it is though.
